I would have to say that I have a love/hate relationship with denim skirts and I don't think I'm the only one with this struggle every year when we get to Summer fashion.
Here's the thing with denim skirts...
1. I'm 5'9" so mini denim skirts always make me look like I'm wearing the shortest skirt that I could find in the store.
2. The duck butt thing is always a struggle. I am constantly struggling to find mini skirts, especially denim skirts, that don't duck butt in the back when I'm standing and walking around. This means that the skirt is improperly fitted silhouette.
3. I love the way denim skirts fit on me when they do fit correctly, but finding the perfect fit is a struggle in itself. So I've done the hard work for you and this skirt will turn into a staple piece in your closet.
Not only does this skirt have some edge, but its refreshing and unlike anything else out there. Scroll through my images and shop my look toward the end of this blog post.
Summer's Perfect Denim Skirt #OOTD
SHOP MY OUTFIT:
My Denim Skirt is by Hudson Jeans. I have it in white as well. I am normally a 25 in Hudson, but I sized down in this skirt, and got a 24. Shop my skirt, here.
My Plunging Button Up is by New York & Co. like 5 years ago. I found one from one of my favorite affordable brands, Lulu's, that you might like. Shop similar button down, here.
My Boots are by Diesel, I usually wear a 7.5 - 8 in heeled boots depending on the leather quality, but I got these boots in a 8.5 because they are a true rounded toe boot. I would size up a half size bigger. Shop my boots, here.
